The thermal waters are a natural richness for Contursi Terme.
They come from the slopes of the prehistoric volcano Mount Pruno
and represent a panacea for many ailments. The entire territory
of the municipality is spread with springs, many of which having
strong healing qualities.
Among these springs, the most famous are the followings: the sulphurous
water in Bagni di Contursi flowing at about 42 degrees, which is
considered the one mostly rich in carbonic acid in Europe, the spring
Cantani, the Radium water and the spring of Volpacchio.
